Kansas City PBS and AMERI’KANA TV present En La Sala, a Making Movies concert special that blends classic rock and Latin American rhythms. En La Sala, Spanish for “in the living room,” was filmed during a surprise show at the Folly Theater in Kansas City and features performances from international rock band Making Movies and vocalist and trumpet player Asdru Sierra of the Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli.
Diego is a Latin Grammy nominated artist and composer. In 2009 he co-founded Latin Alternative rock group Making Movies, and has enjoyed a multi-faceted career in music that includes collaborating with icons Rubén Blades and Los Lobos, composing the original score for fantasy RPG Ledgerbound, and producing PBS music documentary AMERI’KANA TV.
